Aging Isn’t a Facial Problem

Face Procedures Salt Lake City, UTSo much of the time, discussion about age revolves around issues that develop somewhere on the face. Sure, crow’s feet or frown lines are good at revealing the secret of your age. Skin laxity, sun spots, and deflated lips have also received a lot of attention. In fact, the treatments that tend to show up on Top 10 Lists often focus on resolving concerns related to facial aging. At Utah Facial Plastics, we know that facial aging is just the beginning.

If you want to be discreet about your age, there are other areas that will require your attention. These include:

  • The neck. No matter how many injectables are introduced to your forehead, eyes, cheeks, or lips, your age will be evident on your neck. Interestingly enough, we consult with a large number of men who aren’t quite sure what to do about issues on the neck and chin. This area is impossible to hide, so it is impossible to ignore. Neck rejuvenation may not necessitate a surgical lift. Treatments such as Kybella and non-surgical skin tightening have been developed for convenient, efficient results.
  • The hands. Hand rejuvenation has become increasingly popular in our offices in Draper and Layton, Utah. Women, in particular, are at risk of losing a significant amount of fatty tissue on the backs of the hands as they age. The loss of volume exacerbates the ropy appearance of tendons and veins beneath the skin. Coupled with hyperpigmentation caused by UV damage, this age-related concern can feel hard to manage. In reality, it is relatively simple to resolve these issues using dermal fillers, fat injections, and laser and light treatments.
  • The head. Men as young as their twenties may begin to notice changes in their pattern of hair growth. For decades, science has sought ways to mitigate these changes in hair follicles. Dr. Thompson is a member of theInternational Society of Hair Restoration Surgery who has received fellowship training in the latest procedures. In addition to surgical grafting for restored hair growth, our offices also offer non-surgical hair restoration treatments such as PRP.

There are numerous signs of aging that are difficult to avoid. Fortunately, they are not difficult to treat. Call Utah Facial Plastics for more information on the appropriate rejuvenation for you.
