Looking for full face rejuvenation but unsure where to start and confused with the different options? Utah Facial Plastics offers a wide variety of products and procedures for multiple areas of the face and neck. This video summarizes what some of the most popular non-surgical procedures (such as Botox and Juvederm) do and shows the before and after transformation of two patients.
Each patient in this video receives Botox, the most popular non-surgical procedure available. Common areas Botox is used is in the forehead, around the eyes, and between the brows. It can also be used to minimize neck bands and slim the lower face.
Botox works by temporarily weakening the muscles, keeping them from forming lines that leads to wrinkles. This makes the area much more smooth and leaves the face looking rejuvenated. By using a conservative amount, you can still have a bit of movement so the results are natural.
Botox and Juvederm compliment each other and are used together often. Juvederm is used to treat the smile lines (parenthesis) on each side of the mouth and often used in the lips as well. It has a very smooth consistency so the results are very natural. It is sometimes used under the eyes as well to fill any hollowing. Restylane is another popular filler for the under-eye area.
Voluma is specifically formulated for the mid-face or cheek area. It’s a thicker consistency and is injected deeper into the mid-face to restore lost volume and provide a bit of a lift. It can also augment the cheeks a bit to provide more definition and femininity. The best thing about Voluma is that is lasts up to 2 years, which is much longer than any other hyaluronic acid filler on the market.
Kybella is very different from the other injectables in that it doesn’t add volume or weaken muscles but literally destroys fat cells. It’s FDA approved for submental fullness, the fatty area below the chin that’s often referred to as a “double-chin”. Once destroyed, those fat cells will not return unless extreme dietary and lifestyle changes are made. There is more downtime with Kybella than any of the other injectables though. The area injected swells for approximately one week and results with each session take 4-6 weeks to appear.
Latisse is the best product on the market to grow fuller, thicker lashes and has been around for a very long time. Not only do lashes lengthen, but they thicken and darken as well, which most other lash products don’t do. It takes 6-9 weeks for full results and must be used nightly to continue working. It’s a super quick process each night to apply 1-2 drops of Latisse to an applicator and sweep along your lash line like you would eyeliner. It’s much simpler than dealing with false lashes and the results are quite dramatic.
