Sometimes when I suggest lip enhancement to patients, they immediately get nervous. Everyone has probably seen lips that have been enlarged to the point of distraction. What people often don’t realize is that lip augmentation done well is not readily apparent to the casual observer but is subtle and serves to enhance youthfulness and the overall aesthetics of the face.
As we age, volume is lost from all areas of the face, including the lips. Others simply have thin lips. Judicious and artistic enhancement of the lips preserves and restores youthfulness and greatly improves the aesthetics and attractiveness of the face. Because of its low risk, minimal down-time, and potential for immediate and significant improvement to the face, lip enhancement with fillers has become one of my favorite procedures.
