What Does Cheek Augmentation Involve?
Your comfort is our priority. Although many dermal fillers now contain a small amount of lidocaine, we can apply a topical numbing cream to your skin for a few minutes before we begin injections. Generally, patients tolerate cheek augmentation very well. The product is injected into the mid-face area in a pattern that builds contours naturally. If there is undereye hollowing or puffiness, the tear troughs can also be treated using the same filler introduced to the cheeks. The entire process takes 15 to 30 minutes.
Patients are encouraged to avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications and aspiring for the week prior to their cheek augmentation procedure. This will reduce the risk of minor bleeding and bruising.
