Plastic Surgery Recovery

Are you considering or have decided to have a surgical procedure with Utah Facial Plastics?  Recovery is a big part of the process so let’s discuss that.  Many think the hardest part of surgery is the surgery itself. Recovery is usually the hardest part and comes with some obstacles and social downtime before you reach your end result.

Following surgery, it is best to review your post-care instructions to ensure you are taking care of yourself properly to achieve an optimal outcome. Each procedure is different and has different surgery recovery time.  Patience is crucial and everyone’s bodies heal differently, so it’s important to understand that and not compare to others. In general, it takes 1-3 weeks to recover from a facelift procedure although there are situations where swelling and bruising can linger on for some.

Utah Facial Plastics provides our patients with all the tools to get you through this process along with additional resources to speed up the recovery process so that you can move on with life and enjoy every bit of reward from having your procedure.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Individuals who undergo surgery are eager to get back to their normal lives. Some may take longer to heal in general following procedures. Utah Facial Plastics surgeons may suggest hyperbaric oxygen therapy as an option to speed up healing and help improve results. This treatment reduces swelling by flooding the tissues with oxygen and is best done in a series. You may have heard your surgeon mention or recommend treatment and is best done just days after having surgery. You can learn more about hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Restore Hyper Wellness with several locations in Northern, Utah to schedule an appointment.  They offer a package of 5 for $250 for UFP patients.
