This contestant received 3 VI chemical peels each spaced one month apart as well 3 months worth of medical-grade skincare products recommended for her by one of our master estheticians. Her before picture was taken prior to her first treatment and the after photo was taken 3 months after. So what is a VI chemical peel?

What is a VI Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are incredibly popular and have been around for numerous years. They are used to treat a variety of skin concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, pigmentation and more. We love the VI chemical peel as it’s safe for all skin types and virtually pain free. Made from a blend of minerals, salicylic acid, vitamin C, retinoic acid and TCA as well as phenol, the VI Peel is our most popular peel providing incredible results for many patients.

The actual treatment takes approximately 15-30 minutes in-office and involves a series of “passes” of product of along the skin. There is enough product to add to the neck and often times the chest as well if these areas are also of concern. Once complete, the product remains on the skin until bedtime when it can be wiped off. Cleansing wipes are included in your post-procedure kit as well as retinol wipes that are used to assist in cell turnover. Also included is a sunscreen and anti-itching cream to help during the peeling process.

Over the next two days, the skin will feel tight without any signs of having had a chemical peel. Pigmentation may start to appear darker and then the skin will slowly begin to peel, typically starting around the mouth, and continue over the next three to five days. It’s important to avoid sun exposure, especially on days three and four. Once the peeling process is complete, the skin will then appear luminous and glowing!
