Sylfirm Pre & Post Care

Sylfirm Pre Care

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Limit sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks before treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin may increase the risk of complications or skin irritation.
  • Discontinue Certain Medications: If you’re on any blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or supplements like Vitamin E, fish oil, or herbal remedies, please stop taking them at least 7 days before your treatment, unless advised otherwise by your provider.
  • Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment to reduce the risk of bruising or swelling.
  • No Active Skin Conditions: Inform your provider if you have active skin conditions such as acne, eczema, or psoriasis in the treatment area. Treatment may need to be rescheduled for your safety.
  • Arrive Makeup-Free: If your treatment area involves the face, please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face to ensure optimal results.
  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water before your treatment to keep your skin well-hydrated.

Sylfirm Post Care

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: For the next 1-2 weeks after treatment, avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and use broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect the treated area.
  • Minimize Sweating and Heat: Avoid intense exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and other activities that may cause excessive sweating for at least 48 hours after treatment.
  • Gentle Skin Care: Use gentle skincare products that are free from strong acids, exfoliants, or fragrances for the first few days. Follow your provider’s recommendations for post-treatment products.
  • Avoid Touching the Area: Do not rub, scratch, or massage the treated area for at least 24 hours to avoid irritation or infection.
  • Swelling and Bruising: It’s normal to experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising in the treated area. Apply cold compresses to reduce discomfort if needed. Bruising should resolve within 1-2 weeks.
  • Makeup Application: Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment. If you must apply makeup, use clean brushes and gentle products.
  • Hydration: Continue to drink plenty of water post-treatment to support the healing process.
  • Follow-Up Appointments: Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments to assess your results and ensure proper healing.
  • Report Concerns: If you experience unusual side effects, such as excessive swelling, pain, or signs of infection, contact your provider immediately.
