JUVÉDERM Volbella XC® | Draper, UT

What is Volbella XC?

Juverderm Volbella XC is an exciting member of the Juvederm family that is FDA-approved for lip augmentation and the correction of peri-oral lines around the lips, otherwise known as “smoker’s lines”. The injectors at Utah Facial Plastics in Draper, UT are excited to offer this new filler to the repertoire of amazing options for non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

How does Juvéderm Volbella XC work?

Volbella XC is expertly injected with a small needle into areas of the lips, the lip border, and lines around the lips to provide natural, subtle volume instantly. Different weights of hyaluronic acid allows for the smooth, long-lasting result that Juvederm is known for. Volbella is different in that the HA concentration is lower than with other Juvederm products, making it perfect for lip rejuvenation and enhancement.

Important facts about Juvéderm Volbella XC:

  • Clinically proven to increase lip fullness and soften peri-oral lines around the mouth for one year.
  • Juvederm Volbella XC is from the makers of the #1 most popular family of dermal fillers.
  • Mini-lip treatments with Volbella can provide a subtle lip enhancement while also defining the lip border (erasing wrinkles around the lips).
  • Volbella provides completely natural results with less downtime than other lip enhancement options.
  • Normal activity can be resumed immediately after a Volbella treatment.

What to expect with a Volbella Treatment

Treatment can be done at the same time as your consultation if you are a good candidate and ready to proceed with treatment. Together with your UFP injector, the goals for outcome are discussed to ensure you are both on the same page. Numbing is typically applied 20 minutes prior to treatment to make the procedure more comfortable. The gel formulation in Volbella also contains a small amount of lidocaine (local anesthetic) which also helps minimize discomfort. The actual injections take approximately 15-30 minutes and the results are instant.

An ice pack is given to help with bruising and swelling, which can happen with any injectable and typically resides within 3-7 days following treatment. Normal activity can be resumed following your appointment. A full syringe must be purchased and if all isn’t used at your initial treatment, we bank the remainder for you to come back and use at a later time with no additional charge. It’s important to our injectors to start conservatively and add more if needed as it’s much easier to add more than to reduce.

The Utah Facial Plastics Difference

As a Preferred Provider with Allergan, Utah Facial Plastics was one of the first cosmetic facilities in Utah to offer Juvederm Volbella to their patients. And facial plastic surgeons, Dr. Scott Thompson and Dr. Douglas Henstrom each have over 15 years experience with injectables for facial rejuvenation and specifically trained our UFP nurse injectors, Alfie Symes and Beth Sheiner, to provide the most natural results possible. Both nurse injectors have multiple years of experience treating patients with all injectables and spend ample time with each patient to ensure safety and satisfaction. Reviews on all injectors at UFP can be found at RealSelf.com.
