Non-Surgical Facelift

Introduction to the Liquid Facelift

Non-invasive techniques are continually growing in popularity with the increase in new technology and products. A Non-Surgical Facelift refers typically to a combination of non-surgical injectables and/or laser procedures that together provide a patient with overall facial rejuvenation. Another commonly used term for this treatment is a Liquid Facelift or Lunch Time Face Lift. Many medical spas and cosmetic facilities will develop different names for this that they’ve trademarked to use for marketing purposes.

Liquid Facelift FAQs

There are a lot of effective anti aging non-surgical facelift alternatives that can give impress results, but unfortunately, these procedures cannot replace surgery. When it comes to lifting and tightening, incisions do need to be made so that all underlying tissue and muscle (SMAS) can be lifted and tightened as well, not just the skin. Without surgery, a patient cannot plan on long-lasting tightening results but can experience significant facial rejuvenation with many of these non-surgical methods.

The best candidates for a non-surgical facelift include someone with minimal to moderate signs of aging. Younger patients often begin non-surgical facelift procedures as a way to prevent or stave off signs of aging as they are beginning to appear.

There is no one-size fits all when it comes to non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Patients typically come in for a free consultation with one of our providers to discuss their particular concerns. At that time,he/she will make recommendations based on those concerns and will offer suggestions of products and treatments that will help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Because the procedure is fairly quick, you can proceed with treatment at the same time or come back at a later date after evaluating your options.

Numbing cream is typically applied approximately 20 minutes prior to the use of injectables. Common injectables used for a non-surgical facelift include Voluma, to restore volume in the mid-face, Juvederm or Restylane to fill in lines and wrinkles, and Botox® to paralyze muscles in the forehead and around the eyes to smooth out wrinkles. Other products that may be used are Artefill, Belotero, Perlane, Radiesse, and Dysport. You can learn more about these injectables on our Dermal Filler page. Most of them are made up of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally find in the skin and safe to inject.

Common areas our injectors use Botox are the forehead, between the brows, and to the crow’s feet, around the eyes. Voluma is the newest injectable and is a thicker form of hyaluronic acid so it works well to restore lost volume in the midface that naturally occurs with the aging process. This product last approximately two years, longer than any other dermal filler. Other common area injected are the smile lines around the mouth, usually with Juvederm or Radiesse as well as under the eyes to fill in hollowing. Dr. Thompson uses a thinner formula, such as Restylane or Belotero, to fill in that area, known as the tear trough. Juvederm or Belotero are popular to plump up the lips and to fill in any fine lines about the lip or in any other area of the face.

In combination with proper skincare, chemical peels or a CO2 laser procedure, full facial rejuvenation can be achieved with amazing results. Patients appreciate how quick and easy treatment is and the convenience of being able to return to work immediately following treatment.

Yes. We currently own and operate the E-Matrix to perform skin tightening procedures. But when it comes to tightening the skin, our surgeons typically recommend a surgical route as the efficacy and research on the use of lasers for skin tightening is not impressive compared to that of surgical techniques. Laser treatments are often quite expensive and don’t always give the long lasting patients are hoping to achieve. As mentioned above, to achieve long-lasting results, it’s important to address the SMAS layer of the lower face and not just the skin.

If your main concern is fine lines and wrinkles and you don’t have a great deal of neck or jowl laxity, our CO2 Fractional Laser does work well to resurface the skin and is great to use in combination with fillers and botox.

Common tightening procedures that utilize the use of lasers or other medical equipment include Ultherapy, an ultrasound technique, Pelleve’, radiofrequency technique, and ePrime, amongst many others.

Because a non-surgical face lift is so individualized depending on each patients specific goals and concerns, the price is variable. Great results can typically be achieve for around $1000 to $2000 but may be more or less depending on the patient. We can provide you with an exact quote at the time of your personal consultation with a UFP provider. We have monthly specials that often include savings on many of the products used in a non-surgical facelift that you will want to refer to on our Specials Page.

Of course there is Drs. Thompson and Henstrom’s full surgical facelift that encompasses more than a traditional facelift by lifting and tightening much of the midface/temporal area that is missed in traditional facelift surgery. Patients with a lot of neck laxity are typically best for the procedure and the results are astounding.

Both surgeons also perform a in-office MACS Facelift procedure at a high frequency as patient appreciate shorter recovery, less scars and not having to go under general anesthesia for this procedure.

For many who are less concerned with tightening the skin and are looking for more permanent facial rejuvenation, our surgeons often injects a patients own fat into the face, known as fat grafting, which can also be done in the office. There is a semi permanent filler available, called Sculptra, as well that can often give a longer lasting result.

It’s best to talk to your UFP provider at a complimentary consultation to determine which procedure(s) is right for you.
