Is Cosmetic Surgery on Your Christmas Wishlist?

If not, it’s more than likely on the list of someone you know or may even be buying for. Gift certificates for Botox, fillers and even facelifts are more popular than ever. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there were 14.6 million cosmetic procedures across the United States in 2012. That’s about an 85% increase from a decade ago and those numbers are only increasing.

One tip when considering giving a loved one the gift of plastic surgery, make sure they want it! Otherwise it may be taken as a bit of an insult. Wondering what plastic surgery procedures top the gift-giving charts?

An eyelid lift is one of the most frequently requested “surgical gifts” today. It only makes sense as the eyes are typically the first facial feature others notice. Drooping and puffiness around the eyes can make someone look tired and/or angry when they may feel perfectly fine on the inside. And creping of the skin makes makeup application a real drag.

Other cosmetic surgeries often gifted to others include rhinoplasty surgery for a drooping  nasal tip, breast augmentation, laser procedures, and of course, Botox and fillers. Non-surgical cosmetic procedures are increasingly popular here at Thompson Facial Plastics and the bi-yearly appointments are becoming as common to many as getting appointments to see a hair stylist.

So put a smile on his or her face this year and consider giving the pick-me-up they have been asking for! Click here for our December giftcard special.
