These procedures are referred to as a septorhinoplasty, which typically involves straightening the septum. Other procedures may be required to improve a patients breathing such as turbinate reduction and spreader grafts, both helping to open the airways if necessary.
Some Rhinoplasty Procedures Can Be Done In-Office
Typical rhinoplasty surgeries that require a change in the tip of the nose as well as the bridge, need to be done in a surgical facility under general anesthesia. Minor changes can actually be done in-office under local anesthesia. Patients looking to minimally refine the tip of there nose can have their procedure done in-office, which saves on cost.
