What To Expect With A Rhinoplasty Imaging Consultation

A common question patients ask during a rhinoplasty consult is, “What results can I expect with a rhinoplasty?”

Most often, patients will come in with specific changes that they would like made to their nose, whether it is a bump shave or refining the tip of the nose. We also have patients that dislike their profile, but can’t put their finger on what is bothering them specifically. During a consultation, Dr. Thompson or Dr. Henstrom will address your cosmetic concerns. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and talk about what is possible and realistic for you individually. The doctors will then discuss the procedure options. We can give you quotes and discuss the next steps. With rhinoplasty surgeries, a follow up imaging appointment with the doctors is advised and can be very beneficial to the patient. There is a small fee for the imaging consultation that goes toward the cost of surgery.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH A RHINOPLASTY IMAGING CONSULTATION

Our imaging consultations are done as a follow up appointment. While preparing for your imaging consultation, the doctors will look at your photos from your initial consultation. Both Dr. Thompson and Dr. Henstrom use computer software to create modifications based on what was previously discussed. Regularly, chin implants are done in conjunction with rhinoplasty surgery to balance out the nose with the other facial features. We can produce imaging for both chin implants and rhinoplasty if requested.

During the imaging appointment, the doctor will review the before and morphed after photos with you in detail. This tool is beneficial to both the patient and surgeon before the surgery. It is important to be on the same page with your surgeon about what changes are possible, natural and not overdone

Our goal at Utah Facial Plastics to ensure the happiness of each patient and that starts with setting attainable expectations together with Dr. Thompson and Dr. Henstrom. To schedule a complimentary consultation, call (801) 776-2220 or contact us HERE.
