Allergan recently announced the launch of Juvederm Volux, the newest addition to the Juvederm family. This new filler is FDA-approved to re-sculpt the chin and jawline. Juvederm Volux is a structural gel that lasts 18 to 24 months, according to Allergan studies. Learn about Volux vs. Voluma below.
Juvederm Volux is a hyaluronic acid filler that utilizes the same VYCROSS technology as other products in the Juvederm family such as Voluma, Volbella and Vollure. VYCROSS technology is a high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid that produces longer lasting, smoother and more natural looking results. Read on to learn how Volux compares to Voluma.
Volux vs. Voluma – How is Juvederm Volux Different Than Juvederm Voluma?
Juvederm Voluma is a “thicker” version of Juvederm Ultra that is currently used to add structure to the face in areas such as the cheeks and temples. Voluma is only FDA-approved to temporally treat volume loss in the cheeks. Voluma is commonly used “off label” to add volume to the chin and jawline, which our providers have used often with great results. Juvederm Volux is projected to provide even greater structural support in the chin and jawline than Voluma with a 95% satisfaction rate according to Allergan studies.
Why ReSculpt The Chin and Jawline with Volux vs Voluma?
Research shows that 51% of people want to reshape their chin and jawline. Research also shows that most women desire a face shape that is more symmetrical and oval. For many, this filler will provide a stronger, more defined jawline and chin without having to undergo submental liposuction and/or chin implant surgery to achieve their aesthetic goals.
As we age, we start to lose volume and structure in the lower face in areas such as the neck, jawline and chin. This Volux is predicted to be a great option for more mature patients concerned with laxity and pre-jowl sulcus formation but aren’t quite ready for a facelift. This new filler is expected to improve the lower face and restore self-confidence for such patients.
Our Utah injectors have been providing amazing results with many products from the Juvederm family for a number of years. We are excited to offer an additional option for patients with lower face concerns.
