The Best Botox Treatments In Utah

Botox and other similar products Dysport, Xeomon, and Jeauveau  are popular injectable treatments used to temporarily freeze lines and wrinkles. This simple procedure is done quickly with no downtime, making is possible for many women and men to easily slow down signs of aging and feel better about their appearance. Botox and other cosmetic treatments have grown increasingly in Utah cities like Salt Lake City, Draper, Layton and surrounding areas.  The best Botox in Utah doesn’t necessarily mean the best price of Botox in Utah. When searching for an experienced, reputable injector you do not want to go based on price alone. Going based on the best deal in town or best Botox special can jeopardize your satisfaction with your results or more importantly, your safety.

The Best Botox Injectors in Salt Lake City

At Utah Facial Plastics we currently have five experienced nurse injectors who keep up with continued education courses and have even trained with our dual board-certified facial plastic surgeons, Drs. Thompson and Henstrom. Our highly skilled facial plastic surgeons are typically on site at either our Draper or Layton locations, so if there were ever a complication that were to occur, they are readily available to step in.  This is important because most med spas and other offices that perform Botox do not have a qualified physician in-house.

When Botox is done by a well-educated, experienced injector Botox is extremely safe. There are very few rare side effects and complications that can occur with Botox, most of them occurring in the hands of an inexperienced injector. When looking for a provider it is important that you research the injectors themselves and the facility, they treat patients. In most cases, injector credentials can be found on the providers website, if not don’t be afraid to call and ask.

How To Prepare for Botox Treatments?

If it’s your first-time getting Botox, or maybe you’ve had it but wasn’t aware of how to prepare for treatment, we want to help prepare you for a good experience. Bruising is rare when it comes to Botox, however with any injectable treatment there is a risk of bruising and some patients do occasionally bruise. To minimize that risk, we recommend avoiding blood thinners such as vitamin E, fish oil, alcohol, and Ibuprofen at least 3-5 dates prior to being treated.

Prior to your first Botox appointment, some individuals have found it helpful to think about what areas or wrinkles bother them the most. During a consultation, you will be asked so doing research and thinking ahead of time can feel slightly less overwhelming for some. Some areas that Botox is commonly used include between the brows (glabella), forehead, and around the eyes (crow’s feet).

How Long Can I Expect Botox to Last?

Botox takes anywhere from 3-10 days to fully start working, with continuous improvement for up to 30 days. After treatment, Botox can be expected to last approximately 3-5 months. The length of time it lasts on each individual varies. With consistent Botox treatments, the individual will notice smoother lines and will prevent wrinkles from worsening.

Soften Fine Lines and Wrinkles with Botox

Botox is injected into the muscles of the face that are being treated and it works by blocking nerves so the muscle cannot contract and form wrinkles in the skin. Once Botox takes full effect the underlying facial muscles relax, and the skin begins to smooth out. With consistent treatment fine lines and wrinkles soften and sometimes disappear altogether.

How Much Does Botox Cost in Utah?

The cost of Botox is typically determined by the experience and credentials of the injector and the place of business. Currently in Utah, Botox is between $9 and $15 per unit in 2022. The number of units that is typically used ranges between 20-50 but could be more or less. At UFP we currently charge $13 per unit for Botox before and in-office specials or rewards you earn through Alle or Aspire. Alle and Aspire are reward programs for both Botox and Dysport that are designed to save you money on each treatment. They also run their own specials throughout the year that can be used in addition to our in-office specials, making Botox treatments more affordable.
