What should I expect with my Venus Viva treatment?
Following a consultation to prepare you for your treatment, we have you arrive 30 minutes prior to your Venus Viva treatment for topical numbing to be applied and take effect. This reduces any discomfort you may experience otherwise.
The actual treatment takes approximately 15-30 minutes with our nurse. Patients may experience redness for 2-4 days following treatment, depending on the level of intensity with each treatment. There is no pain or discomfort and make-up, skincare, and sunscreen can be resumed 24 hours following treatment.
Three treatments, spaced out at least one month apart, is typically recommended and there is noticeable improvement with each treatment. Certain conditions may require up to six treatments. Maintenance is dependent on the skin condition but generally two to four treatments per year is recommended following an initial series of treatments. Other options available for maintenance include Skin Rejuvenation and/or in-office chemical peels.
