ASC Clinical Director (Full-Time)

Job Summary: Act as Director of the OPSC, overseeing all regulatory compliance, education, and managing clinical and clerical staff in accordance with established regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Also acts in the pre-operative area and recovery room as the preoperative supervisor for the patient while in these areas. Responsible for the direct supervision of the medical assistants. Act as patient advocate and assures that quality care is administered.

Education and Experience:

  1. Registered nurse approved and employed by the medical staff must have, on file, their license to practice in the state of Utah
  2. Maintain re-licensure requirements.
  3. Operating room experience with at least one-year expertise in a surgical specialty or related field.
  4. Knowledge of supervision and management.
  5. Stable, mature, and dependable.
  6. ACLS required
  7. Previous acute Care experience Required
  8. Charge Nurse/Administrative position Preferred
  9. Experience with Regulatory Compliance Preferred
  10. Acute care experience Preferred (comfortably able to perform all duties required of PACU RN independently)

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  1. Has successfully completed ACLS course and updates on a yearly basis.
  2. Has capacity for making quick, intelligent decisions, and initiating appropriate actions.
  3. Is stable, mature, and dependable.
  4. Possesses excellent communication skills and presents a friendly, caring manner which puts patients at ease.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preoperative Responsibilities

    1. Required to call patients one day prior to surgery for pre-operative call/education/instructions
    2. Open/set up OR, count meds, and prepare the patient for surgery
    3. Check patient in upon arrival
    4. Complete surgery checklist prior to surgery
    5. Place IV independently and start IV fluids/preoperative medications
    6. Provide discharge instructions prior to surgery
    7. Oversee all regulatory compliance of OPSC
    8. Ensure supplies are ordered

Intra-Operative Responsibilities

  1. Act as Circulator during surgeries
  2. Educate Anesthesia on basic needs that may be required during OR time, once able to safely leave, RN will exit and perform administrative duties.
  3. Return for closing and transfer of patient

Post-Operative Responsibilities

  1. Recovery of Patient
  2. Discharge of the patient post-operatively

Medical Assistant (Layton, part-time)

Job Summary: Room turnover and assistance for surgeon in Layton clinic.

Education and Experience:

  1. One to two years of cosmetics experience preferred.
  2. One to two years of medical assisting experience preferred.
  3. Medical assisting certification preferred.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  1. Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  2. Superior educations skills.
  3. Trustworthiness.
  4. Able to effectively sustain multiple simultaneous tasks.
  5. Attentive to detail and accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Prep for clinic each day.
    2. Prep rooms for patients.
    3. Clean and turn rooms over.
    4. Take out all sharps and bio hazard materials.
    5. Take patient photos.
    6. Send pathologies and create labs.
    7. Remove sutures during post-operative appointments.
    8. Assist with in-office surgical procedures as needed.
    9. Start electronic notes and enter each patient's medical history.
    10. Provide quotes on injectables and have patients sign consent forms.
    11. Stock rooms as needed.

Receptionist (Draper, full-time)

Job Summary: Manages front desk by overseeing phone calls, clinic schedule, answering messages and taking payments at our Draper location.

Education and Experience:

  1. One to two years of cosmetic surgery experience preferred.
  2. One to two years of medical office experience preferred.
  3. One to two years of front desk experience preferred.
  4. Ability to speak both Spanish and English preferred.

  4. Able to effectively sustain multiple simultaneous tasks.
  5. Attentive to detail and accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Answer phones and assist patient with their needs.
    2. Schedule new and existing patient appointments.
    3. Check patients in and out, take payments and schedule follow up appointments as needed.
    4. Collect insurance info and enter patient demographics into electronic software.
    5. Oversee appointment confirmations.
    6. Scan pathology reports, new paperwork, etc.
    7. Print paperwork prior to clinic for pre-operative appointments.
    8. Ensure waiting area is clean and welcoming.
    9. Keep deposit forms updated and take deposits to the bank.
    10. Educate patients on skincare products.
