I have been wanting to write a little article on my top 5 skincare products. Let me tell you though, it was very hard for me to narrow it down to my very favorite ones! We carry so many amazing products that I really do love, so I might have to write a part 2 to this article so I don’t miss any. But for now I will just be highlighting a couple.
1. SkinCeuticals Retinol
I love retinols for so many reasons! I recommend them to almost all of the patients that come to our office. The reason is because a retinol cream is one of the best total anti-aging products out there, and who doesn’t want to look a little younger and have their skin look refreshed! A quote from the SkinCeuticals retinol brochure says “Extensive research shows that in addition to sunscreens, topical retinoids are one of the most important treatments to combat and reverse the signs of aging, including hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and skin roughness”. I am a total believer in retinol, and I have seen first hand how it can transform your skin. Here are a few other benefits you will see when using a retinoid:

2. SkinCeuticals Micro-exfoliating Scrub
This product is a must have, especially if you are using a retinol. There is nothing worse than having dry, flaking skin. I have been using this product as my go-to exfoliator for about 5 years and I love it! I use it 2 to 3 times a week after cleansing my skin. It gently exfoliates and polishes away dead skin cells, which helps to soften and smooth the skin. It will help your makeup go on more smoothly, and also help your skin care products absorb better. It has just the right amount of exfoliating power, without being to harsh. But you don’t want to over use it! This can lead to sensitive, damaged skin. Plus it’s awesome all over your body to exfoliate, not just your face. I recommend it to my laser hair removal patients to help with those ingrown hairs.
3. SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex
We have so many patients that come in our office that are not using an eye cream, and let me tell you that you are missing out! The skin around the eye is much thinner than most places, and often can be the first place you start to show age on your face. So I highly recommend everyone use SkinCeuticals A.G.E Eye Complex to help combat that aging. This one just happens to be my current favorite, and I know you would love it too. It is very hydrating, and I have noticed a big difference in the lines around my eyes since I started using it. It also helps to conceal and correct dark circles and puffiness, which I have always had a problem with. Here are a few of the key points about this amazing eye cream, and why I love it:

This product is for anyone out there who has dehydrated or dry skin. It is one of my all time favorite products ever! I do have a lot of favorites, but this one might be near the top. It is pure hydration heaven for your face. I struggled with dehydrated skin for a long time before finding this beauty, because most really hydrating products would break out my sensitive skin. It is suitable for all skin types, and can be used alone, or under your moisturizer to boost your moisture results. It contains a lot of hyaluronic acid, which is the body’s natural hydrator. Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water, which makes it an effective moisturizer and helps to plump the skin. It is amazing!
5. SkinCeuticals B5 Hydrating Mask
So I am just going to continue my love rant from the previous product, because I love this one just as much. It is just as amazing as the B5 serum, but in a mask form. I know a lot of people in our climate struggle with dry, dehydrated skin and I know you all feel my pain. Not only does dry skin feel annoying, it can age your skin faster because lines and wrinkles show up sooner. This product really is a game changer. The B5 helps to rebuild your skins natural barrier, keeping more moisture inside where we want it. And this mask also has the high levels of hyaluronic acid. So after using it your skin is left feeling hydrated, plump, and smooth. I feel like my forehead lines are reduced overnight which I love. And that tight, dry feeling is gone. You apply it after cleansing at night, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Then just rub in what is left on the skin. Try it and you will be hooked like I am.
So there you have it, a list of some amazing products to try. Now I am not saying that these are the very best products out there, just the best products for me and my skin type. But I don’t think you will be disappointed if you try them.
