Facelift Recovery Photos from Utah Facial Plastics

We love when patients document their procedures because it is really helpful for others considering surgery to learn more about what to expect. We also have a number of patients that offer to meet or talk to potential facelift patients and are happy to do it because of how happy they are with their results. Most patients considering facelift surgery in Utah want to know what to expect with the recovery and what their scars look like so it’s great to be able to meet someone who has had a facelift at Utah Facial Plastics.

This patient is a 64 year-old woman who was concerned with lower face and neck laxity, lines around her mouth (smoker’s lines), as well droopy upper eyelids. Dr. Thompson performed a facelift, upper blepharoplasty and peri-oral dermabrasion to address her concerns.

Here she is on the day of her surgery:

She chose Dr. Thompson after a lot of research and talking to one of our patient ambassadors who had a facelift approximately 5 years ago. Because of that interaction, she felt very comfortable with her decision and was ready to go.

Here she is 8 days after surgery. The skin around the mouth is still a bit raw from the peri-oral dermabrasion.

This is day 9 with some makeup applied that we include with every facelift package.

Here she is two weeks after surgery. Her face is starting to relax, the bruising and swelling are settling, and the skin is healing but still pretty pink. All her sutures are out by now and she no longer needs to wear a head wrap at night.

Here she is out and about on day 15.

These last few photos are around 3 weeks! Things will continue to settle and her scars will continue to fade but she is back to life and feeling confident and excited about her refreshed appearance.
