Trends in Wedding-Related Procedures

Wedding season is here and we are sharing popular surgical and non-surgical procedures that brides often seek out to help them get ready for their big day!

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

Rhinoplasties jumped to the number one surgical trend from number 5 in 2018. Rhinoplasty surgery, commonly known as a nose job, involves refining the shape or size of a person’s nose. Prior to making the decision, most patients have researched and contemplated this procedure for months or even years before taking the plunge to help them get ready for their special day. This procedure does require some recovery time. It’s best to plan for surgery 6-12 months before your wedding for best results.

Facelift

Facelifts are also trending this season for more mature patients getting married or remarried. Patients who present for a facelift usually have skin laxity, moderate wrinkles and saggy jowls. We offer a MACSlift (mini-facelift) and a traditional facelift depending on patient needs and concerns.

Non-surgical Fat Reduction

Fat reduction treatments, such as Kybella, ranked number 1 for non-surgical trends this wedding season. Kybella results require a series of injections that work very well to remove fat under the chin. Kybella destroys the fat cells permanently with mild to moderate swelling for 1-2 weeks post injections. Typically 2-4 treatments are recommended for full improvement though patients can do up to 6 sessions. Treatments need to be spaced 4-6 weeks apart so it’s best to plan ahead for this procedure as well.

Botox

Botox seems to always make the cut on any list and if not number one, it’s usually pretty close. Botox makes a remarkable difference to the face and is effective in smoothing lines and wrinkles, lifting the brow, addressing neck bands and slimming lower face muscles. Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily weakens muscle activity and needs to be repeated every 3-6 months for continued results.

Filler

Injectable fillers weren’t too far behind Botox treatments in popularity when it came to top wedding prep treatments. Filler is used to fill and soften wrinkles and can also add volume and structure to the face. Filler is commonly used in the lips, cheeks, nose, under-eye hollows and nasolabial folds (smile lines). Most fillers last anywhere from 6-24 months.

Facial Treatments

Facial treatments are always a great idea before any big event, especially one’s wedding day! We offer many great skin treatments to whip your skin into shape and leave you glowing on your special day. Treatments, like our “Bridal Peel” and Hydrafacial, can be done just before your wedding day for an extra beautiful, supple appearance.
