How much does chin contouring cost?

At Utah Facial Plastics in both Layton and Draper, Utah, we offer both surgical and non-surgical options to contour the chin and lower face. Chin contouring is highly popular with all providers here at Utah Facial Plastics. So how much does chin contouring cost?

Facelift

A facelift is the most invasive of the four chin contouring options that we’re going to be talking about today. A good candidate for a facelift is someone with excess skin, moderate to severe wrinkles and sagging jowls. Because of the skin laxity in the lower face, patients may notice that their chin and lower face are beginning to lose the natural contour they once had as they age.

Our surgeons customize all facelift and MACSlift (in-office mini facelift) procedures according to the needs and anatomy of each individual patient. Often times, during the initial consultation an additional procedure or procedures may be recommended by your surgeon to provide the best possible outcome for you. One common recommendation is a pre-jowl implant to help strengthen the chin and jawline. With age, the jowls begin to droop and create what is called a “pre-jowl sulcus” on either side of the chin. To create a smooth transition between the chin and jawline, a small pre-jowl implant may be recommended for enhanced results.

The price for a facelift varies depending on what procedures are done and how long the surgery will take. Pricing typically ranges from $6,000 to $14,000* with or without facility and anesthesia charges. MACSlift procedures are done in-office and do not require an additional anesthesia charge. It’s best to come in for a consultation for an exact price quote.

Submental Liposuction

Submental liposuction (removal of fat from under the chin) is a really great way to achieve a more chiseled chin and jawline. This procedure can be done alone or is sometimes paired with a chin implant. Submental liposuction requires minimal to moderate downtime and can be done in-office, which helps save on cost. At this time, pricing ranges between $2,000 to $2,500*. If a chin implant is also recommended, the fee typically ranges between $4,500 to $5,000* total.

Kybella

Kybella is a great non-surgical alternative to submental liposuction and typically recommended for patients with mild to moderate fullness under the chin. Patients with more excessive fullness are typically better candidates for submental liposuction, which can provide a better result and is more economical for the patient. Kybella does requires a series of treatments, typically between 2 and 4, though up to 6 treatments can be done. Two vials are  usually recommended per session for optimal results. At this time, the cost for one session (two vials) is $850*.

Filler

Voluma is another non-surgical option to improve chin contour. Of all the options that we offer, filler is the only one that is not permanent. Voluma lasts approximately 2 years and costs $775* per syringe. Some patients may need more than one syringe for full correction. Filler is often used to augment and contour in combination with Kybella, which removes the fat under the chin.

*Pricing is subject to change at anytime.
