What is FaceTite?

FaceTite by Inmode is a minimally-invasive treatment that is used on the face and other small areas of the body. This treatment is able to contour and tighten both the neck and lower face without large scars or extensive downtime.

FaceTite utlizes RFAL (radio frequency-assisted liposuction) for thermal energy to tighten and remove excess fat. This treatment has been available for years in both Canada and Europe and was finally FDA-approved in the United States in 2016. This treatment is very safe with built-in safeguards. These safeguards have the ability to turn off RF energy if it gets too hot, which prevents patients from possible burning.

This treatment is performed in-office under local anesthesia with Valium offered to help patients relax. On the surface of the face, a hand-help device is used to pass radio frequency energy through to the internal electrode (cannula under the skin). Once the fat is melted, it is automatically removed through the cannula.

Immediately after a FaceTite procedure, the treated areas are more smooth and contoured. Much of this result is due to mild to moderate swelling that may result from treatment. There is typically minimal pain associated with recovery. Over the next three to six weeks, new collagen will form and results will become more apparent. Patients can expect full improvement over the next six months after treatment. FaceTite is considered minimally-invasive because as there are virtually no scars and no sutures required.

Who Can benefit from FaceTite?

This treatment is for patients desiring a smoother, more defined contour to their neck, jowls, jawline and lower face. FaceTite is also a great option for someone who isn’t ready for a surgical procedure, doesn’t have the time to recovery from surgery or for someone with more mild to moderate laxity that isn’t quite at the level of aging to warrant surgery. Candidates may also be patients who have previously had a facelift or minilift that are looking for a touch-up 10 to 15 years later. Patients can expect a result that is approximately 70% of what they’d receive with surgery.
