FaceTite vs a Facelift: Which One is Right for You?

We are excited to now offer our patients a minimally invasive facelift option with FaceTite, which utilizes radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and contour the lower face and neck. For many years our surgeons have been searching for a minimally invasive facelift option that they could confidently recommend to the right patients. So how does FaceTite compare to facelift surgery and which one is right for you?

FaceTite

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy below the skin’s surface to lift and contour. The treatment is done by both surgeons at Utah Facial Plastics. Much like a traditional facelift, this treatment primarily lifts and tightens the lower face and neck.

Unlike a traditional facelift, FaceTite is performed in our office under local anesthesia. This alone is saves patients from additional costs for anesthesia and facility. On top of that, the price for treatment is approximately 30% less than the surgical fee for facelift surgery.

Let’s talk about results and downtime. FaceTite offers anywhere from 50-70% of typically facelift results delivered by our UFP facelift specialists. FaceTite does not deliver results as quickly as facelift surgery but does continue to improve for up to one year after treatment. The downtime and recovery is significantly is much quicker with only 3 to 4 days while facelift surgery takes approximately 2-3 weeks to recover from. You can also look forward to having no scars with FaceTIte!

This procedure is ideal for individuals who cannot afford the downtime or cost of traditional facelift surgery but still want to look and feel their best.

UFP Facelift

Our traditional UFP facelift is a more extensive surgery that delivers longer-lasting and more comprehensive results. Our surgeons perform anywhere from 4-8 facelift procedures per week and are considered Utah’s leaders in facelift surgery.

A UFP facelift is performed to lift and reposition the sagging muscles and other tissues in the midface (cheeks), jowls (lower face) and neck. Surgery is performed at Lonepeak Hospital and does require general anesthesia. The results are natural and can often be life-changing for many individuals.

A facelift requires about 2-3 weeks of downtime with bruising and swelling to be expected. This procedure does require both drains and sutures, which are removed in a series of post-operative treatments up until 10 days after surgery. Excess skin and tissue is literally lifted and trimmed away, which does involve minimal scarring. With the expertise and skill of our incredible surgeons, the scars are well hiding in the hairline and fade to the point where they are literally undetectable to others. While a traditional UFP facelift requires more downtime and cost, the results are incredible and long-lasting!
