We recently passed the halfway mark between the Winter and the Spring equinoxes. This means more light is coming our way and that much of the drab, dreary weather is behind us. As we look to lighten up, we are reminded that our skin needs help to stay resilient and young. Here, we offer a few suggestions on how to do this whether your intention is to correct or prevent the signs of aging.
- Chemical Peels
Our patients benefit from our selection of superficial to deep chemical peels aimed at addressing the varying needs of their skin. A chemical peel doesn’t just facilitate cellular turnover, it can stimulate activity in the cells that are involved in tissue repair and regeneration. Chemical peels smooth and brighten the skin, help maintain firmness and elasticity, and can help manage acne and fade acne scarring.
- HydraFacial
This advanced facial treatment does more than an average facial but not as much as a laser treatment. It is ideal for adults who want to cleanse their skin and remove impurities that clog pores without the painful extractions facials are known for. The HydraFacial device uses vortex technology to suction debris from the pores and epidermis without an ounce of discomfort. In addition to cleansing the skin, a HydraFacial infuses tissue with proprietary nourishing ingredients.
- Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing has become more refined in recent years. To undergo laser resurfacing no longer means living with red, swollen, oozing skin for several weeks. Our Fractional CO2 device delivers energy to micro-zones on the skin, leaving much of the tissue intact. The intact skin acts as bridges across the treated micro-zones to stimulate a faster healing response. Though gentle, fractional laser resurfacing achieves better results in one treatment than can be achieved with other resurfacing methods.
- RF Microneedling
You may have heard of radiofrequency treatments that tighten loose, aging skin. You may have also heard of microneedling treatments that create pinpoint channels through the multiple layers of the epidermis. In our practice, patients can get the best of both of these technologies in one treatment: Morpheus8. In this procedure, radiofrequency is emitted through 24 Karat gold microneedles that penetrate the uppermost layers of the skin. Radiofrequency can then pass into the dermis, where collagen contraction and remodeling can be stimulated. Acting on the deeper layers of the dermis, Morpheus8 treatment is great for smoothing lines and creases, firming the skin, restoring elasticity, and healing scar tissue.
