Individuals who are interested in Botox typically show mild to moderate signs of aging. For example, patients may be experiencing static lines or wrinkles while at rest.
During your first consultation your provider will discuss your concerns and goals as well as what to expect from consistent Botox treatments. Our providers will also discuss potential risks and complications that can occur with treatment.
Treatment areas, amount needed for each area and financial information is also provided to each individual patient whether they decide to have treatment that day or schedule for a future date.
Common Treatment Areas
The most common areas that are treated with Botox include fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead, glabella (in between the eyebrows) and crow’s feet (around the eyes). We see a lot of patients that start treating these common areas much earlier to prevent them from ever forming.
Botox can also be used to lift the eyebrows, soften bunny or nasals lines, lift a smile or even correct a dimpled chin.
How much Botox is needed
Each individual patient may require a slightly different amount of units depending on what is needed to adequately relax the muscles. For instance, forehead lines usually need anywhere from 10-30 units, glabellar lines approximately 10-25 units and for crow’s feet, typically 5-15 units are injected on each side. During your consultation our providers will be able to give you the exact amount of units needed for each area.
Financial Information
Lastly, our providers discuss the final cost of your treatment. Rather than charge per area like many medical spas, we feel it is best for our patients to charge by the number of recommended units so they know exactly what they are getting for their spend.
At Utah Facial Plastics we charge $12 per unit. We frequently offer our patients special monthly discounts throughout the year. Allergan, the makers of Botox, also have a rewards program currently called Brilliant Distinctions, soon to be Allē. Allē will be launching this fall as Allergan’s new and improved loyalty program. Current Brilliant Distinctions members will automatically be transferred to Allē.
