Certain patients develop a condition of the nose know as rhinophyma. This condition results in increasingly thick and inflamed skin of the nose and sometimes even infection. Dr. Thompson recommended dermabrasion for this patient who presented with severe rhinophyma. Following the procedure, the patient’s previous nasal definition has been restored and his symptoms associated with the condition have resolved.
