This patient presented with concerns of fine lines developing around her mouth as well as pigmentary changes. Dr. Thompson recommended a full face TCA peel to address the pigmentation coupled with perioral dermabrasion for the fine lines. Following treatment, improvement can be seen in both the skin texture and pigmentation

Dermabrasion can be an effective scar improvement tool. This patient developed an overly prominent scar related to would healing problems. Dr. Thompson recommended dermabrasion to improve the transition from scar to normal skin. Although dermabrasion has not made the scar disappear, its camouflaging effect minimizes its visibility.
