How Much Does Botox Cost?

You hate those wrinkles that you used to only see with facial expressions, when lifting your brows or squinting your eyes. But now they appear to be permanently etched into your skin with or without expression. When that starts to happen, it’s time for Botox! Many people will begin in their late 20’s or early 30’s to prevent those lines from even forming but once they do, it’s a great time to start. You’ve heard Botox works well to smooth wrinkles out. But how much does Botox cost?

Botox Pricing

Botox is priced by either the unit or the area, depending on where you go. When places charge by the area, it’s hard to know how much Botox you are actually getting for what you are paying as everyone needs a different amount depending on the strength and size of their muscles. Some patients prefer no movement after treatment, and some would still like a modest amount of movement, so that factors into the amount of Botox used as well. At Utah Facial Plastics, we charge by unit of Botox so you know exactly what you are getting.

Botox Unit Cost

Here in Utah, we charge $12 per unit for Botox. That price is before any specials or discounts offered from our practice or any discounts you’ve earned through the Brilliant Distinctions program. Brilliant Distinctions is a program that helps you save by earning points with each treatment for Botox, Juvederm, Latisse, Kybella, Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, and SkinMedica skincare purchases. Those points can be redeemed with a coupon that can be used toward any of those treatments or products at a later appointment. Brilliant Distinctions will occasionally offer additional specials or opportunities to earn double points during certain periods. We recommend signing up for Brilliant Distinctions before or at your appointment so we can redeem the points you get with treatment. All that is required from you is your email. Units Per Area

So you now know how much Botox is per unit, but how many units do you need? Luckily, we wrote a blog post about this with an infographic that will show you how many units are typical per area of the face. Click here to learn more about Botox unit amount per area.

The glabella, the muscle between the eyebrows, usually requires more units because it’s such a strong muscle. Then a more minimal amount can be used in the forehead and around the eyes, or other areas of the face as shown in the infographic.

Botox Results

Botox works by weakening the muscle and keeping them from contracting to create wrinkles in the skin. Results are apparent approximately 3-10 days following your treatment and last 3-5 months. Most patients come 3-4 times per unit for regular treatments. You’ll love the results and the only downside is that you make become addicted!

Consultations with our providers are complimentary if you are unsure and would just like to discuss your options. Treatment doesn’t take long and can be done that same day or at a later appointment.
