When considering facelift surgery for facial rejuvenation, one of the most important factors patients inquire about is the cost of surgery. It’s important to keep in mind that the cost of a facelift is going to vary state by state. The cost also depends on who your surgeon is and how much experience they have. When choosing a plastic surgeon, be sure to check his/her credentials to ensure they are board certified in plastic surgery with a lot of experience with facelift surgery.
At Utah Facial Plastics, our double board-certified facial plastic surgeons, Drs. Thompson, Henstrom, and Manning have performed hundreds of facelifts with incredible results. In fact, Utah Facial Plastics was voted “Best of State”, “Best of SLC” and “Best of Davis County” for cosmetic surgery and med spa in 2025, after carrying most of those titles for many years.
At Utah Facial Plastics, there are three fees associated with the facelift surgery cost; surgeon’s fee, facility fee and the fee for anesthesia.
Facelift Surgeon’s Fee
The first fee you we typically discuss is the surgeon’s fee. This fee usually ranges from $15,000 to $24,000 for the facelift and $12,600 for a MACSlift, and we have excellent financing options available, so no matter where you fall within each range, your custom tailored surgery plan is accessible. Fees are subject to change. This fee also includes approximately $600 in recovery products, such as Arnica, a full skincare regimen from SkinMedica, camouflage makeup, and scar recovery gel. We include the items to assist with recovery and enhance the overall result. The skincare regimen we include will also help preserve the results of your procedure.
Facelift Facility and Anesthesia
The facility and anesthesia fees are two additional charges that we discuss when reviewing your personalized quote. These fees will vary depending on how long your surgery will take to complete, and on the facility location (Office or Operating Room). On average, the facility and anesthesia fees for a facelift range between $750 to $7,000. Our surgeons also recommend that their facelift patients stay one night in the hospital, which is an additional $250. Often times, additional procedures will be recommended, such as blepharoplasties (eyelid lifts), chin implants, or fat injections for volumization. These additional procedures will also increase the cost of the facility and anesthesia due to the lengthened amount of time needed to perform surgery.
Prescriptions
Most prescriptions for facelift surgery are covered by insurance but may include a copay or out-of-pocket fee if prescribed for cosmetic purposes only.
Facelift Surgery Follow Up Appointments
At UFP there is no extra charge for post op or follow up appointments for our facelift patients. All fees are included in the total cost of your surgery, which is collected approximately 3 weeks prior to surgery.
Total Cost of a Facelift
It’s important for you to know how much your surgery will cost from start to finish. After meeting with one of our facial plastic surgeons, you will receive a surgical quote that includes the physician’s fee, anesthesia and facility fees. Your total cost also covers your pre-operative appointments and comprehensive post-operative care to ensure a smooth recovery process.
